Hung curd dip

HUNG CURD DIP 

 Ingredients:

  • 200 gm Good quality curd, 1/4cup milk and 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 Onion 
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Carrot 
  • 3-4 Cloves of garlic 
  • 1 Green chili
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of black pepper (finely crushed)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar
Method:
  • Chop all the vegetables finely.
  • Put the curd in a fine cloth and hang it for around 1/2 hour .
  • Turn the curd in a bowl ans mix it slowly with a spoon .
  • Add all the vegetables and mix slowly.
  • Add the milk to it and then the cream and mix slowly.
  • Finally add salt, pepper and sugar.
  • Chill it and serve with Nachos, carrots and cucumbers, and gram crackers.

Mutton Keema Kofta Curry

MUTTON KEEMA KOFTA CURRY:

Ingredients for kofta:
  •  1/2 kg Mutton keema (grind again in grinder)
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 Inch ginger grated
  • 1 Green chili chopped
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2 Cup besan (gram flour)  roasted in pan
  • 1 Teaspoon garam masala
Method:
Mix all the ingredients well and make small balls and keep them aside.


Ingredients for curry:
  • 3 Onions grind to paste
  • 2 Teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon turmeric (haldi)
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 Teaspoon coriander powder (dhaniya powder)
  • 1 Teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped mint leaves
  • 2 Finely chopped tomatoes
  • 3 Tablespoon mustard oil
Method:
  • Heat the oil in a deep pan. Add onion and ginger garlic paste,fry the masala for sometime then add the dry masala and fry
  • Add the tomatoes and fry till you see the oil coming out of masala
  • Add salt and enough water (3 glasses)
  • When the gravy starts boiling add the raw meat balls slowly one by one
  • It should be a slow process
  • Slowly stir the gravy until the gravy starts to thicken up.
  • Add the chopped mint leaves to masala and fry till the oil comes out
  • Add some water to it and bring to a boil.
  • Garnish it with some coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice or roti.

Make your own make up kit

RUNNING OUT OF MAKEUP PRODUCTS? OR DON'T HAVE THE BASIC MAKE UP KIT?

Make your own make up kit or your own basic products.

FOUNDATION: 

  • BB Creams/ CC Creams
If you don't have your foundation you can use bb or cc creams as the foundation. It contains moisturizing contents with spf giving you a oil free matte finish look for hours the only flaw in it is full coverage is not achieved but it is more lighter than foundation and best during summer to put on and gives you a fresh, bright look .
  • Concealers:
Concealers can also be used in place of foundation. Choose a concealer nearest to your complexion. It will give you coverage and a flawless look.

CONCEALERS:
  • Do it yourself:
You can make your own concealer following these easy steps:
  • Take some light moisturizer or spf only in a container.
  • Scrape some press powder or take some loose powder and mix with the moisturizer. 
  • Mix well until smooth paste is formed.
  • Apply this concealer on your dark circles, blemishes, spots. To cover your dark circles completely you can use red lipstick (for darker skin tones) or orange lipstick (for lighter skin tones) first apply the lipstick under the eyes then apply the concealer and blend it all well.
Make concealer out of Vaseline jelly follow these steps:

  • First take a glob of it (a little amount of Vaseline) not too much as it can become greasy
  • Add to it some loose powder or press powder. If you don't have press or loose powder add in some color pigments closest to your skin tone.
  • And apply the way you would apply a concealer.
KAJAL AND EYELINERS:
  • Do it yourself:
     
Make your own kajal with some simple methods :

Method 1:

  • Take a little amount of aloe gel in a container.
  • Take a good amount of  black eye shadow or black pigment or activated charcoal. And mix in it
  • Mix until a paste like consistency is reached. And its ready to be applied
  • Just make sure your eye area is dry or first apply some primer or face powder before applying and let the kajal/eye liner dry on your face.
Method 2:

  • Take some black pencil colors and a glass of hot water (not too not)
  • Put the color pencils in the hot water for 4-5 min.
  • And then swatch it on your wrist and test if its smooth or not
  • Then apply it on your eyes as a eye liner or kajal.
  • You can experiment with different colors.

BLUSHER:
  • Lipstick:
Use lipstick as a blusher. You can also make your own blusher pallet with the old lip colors.
 
 
 
  • Take your lipstick you want to use as blush , just swatch it on your check bones and blend it.

  • You can also make a whole new color or a pallet of blusher set.
  • To do the above point take your old lipstick and color of your choice.
  • Scoop out the lipstick and put it in a microwave proof bowl and melt it for 30 sec.
  • After melting it transfer it quickly into a clean container and put it in freezer for 15 min and its ready to be used. You can also make a pallet using different colored lipsticks, follow the same steps to do so
  • Apply your new blusher.

  • Vaseline:

Use Vaseline jelly to make your own blusher and highlighter:
  • Use plain Vaseline as a highlighter. Take just little amount on your fingers and apply it on your check bones.it will give you a shimmery look. But don't do too much as it can make your face look greasy.
  • Take a little bit Vaseline in a container and mix in your favourite eye shadow or pigments and mix well and apply on your checks. 
LIPCOLOR:
  • Crayons:

Use crayons as lipsticks, sounds crazy, but isn't. It is totally non toxic and can be lip colors.
  • Take crayons of your choice peel off the covers and cut them in small pieces.
  • Place them in a microwave proof bowl and add a teaspoon of coconut or castor oil. Micro it for 30 sec and stir the crayons if there are lumps micro it for another 30 sec and transfer immediately to a clean container as it hardens fast.
  • just put the container in the freezer for 20 min and its ready to be used and apply it with lip brush.

  • Vaseline:

Use Vaseline jelly to make your own lip color :
  • Take some Vaseline and mix well in your favorite eye shadow color or pigment.
  • And apply it on your lips.

FACE POWDER:
  • Baby powder:
     

Simply take some baby powder in your hand and take your foundation brush and brush it all over your 'T' zone and eyes for an oil free look. You can also keep some baby powder in a container and just pat it with brush when needed.
  • Corn flour:
Now make your own foundation or face powder using corn flour and some other ingredients.
  • Take some corn flour in a bowl
  • Add little by little unsweetened cocoa powder to it and mix well ( just start by adding little so you are happy by the color you get and not waste because of too much dark color).
  • If your skin tone is pale in color you can add turmeric (but be careful while adding as it gives a strong yellow color) so add a pinch.
  • Now mix everything and swatch it on your chin area to test it and add more of cocoa powder of corn flour if you need to for achieving the desired tone of it.
  • Now transfer it into a clean container.
  •  If you want to make a liquid foundation just add to the powder some moisturizer and spf and mix well and keep add to it until you get the desired results.
TIPS TO REMEMBER:
  • First do a patch test  for the diy before directly applying on your face , like behind the ears or neck area if any irritation is there then don't continue its use.
  • You just need the correct blending of all the products you've made as you would do with your normal make up
  • Store every product in a clean container and avoid using fingers use brushes of beauty blenders so it doesn't contaminates.

Stuffed Capsicum and Tomatoes

STUFFED CAPSICUM AND TOMATOES:

 
 

 
 
INGREDIENTS:

4 Capsicum of equal sizes which can be cut in equal halves. Remove the stem, cut in two equal halves and clean the inside seeds nicely.

INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING:
  • 100gm Grated panner
  • 4 Potatoes cut into cubes, boiled and drained
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander
METHOD:
Mash the boiled potatoes and mix all the ingredients it.
 


INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE:
  • 1/2 Kg tomatoes boiled and pureed
  • 1/2 Teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Cubes to grated cheese
  • 2 Tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves and cinnamon powder
  • 2 Teaspoon cooking oil
 METHOD:
  • Take oil in the pan.
  •  When hot add cloves and cinnamon powder and to this add pureed tomato.
  • After a minute add chili powder and salt and stir for a minute and add tomato ketchup followed by grated cheese.
  • Cook on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
METHOD FOR COOKING CAPSICUMS:
  • Stuff the capsicums with the filling mixture.
  • Place them in a borosil baking dish.
  • Pour the sauce equally over them
 

  • Grate 3 cubes of cheese and spread equally over the capsicums
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 200 centigrade or microwave it for 15 minutes till the cheese melts. Serve hot.

How to grow your hair faster.

WANT TO GROW YOUR HAIR FASTER?
THESE SIMPLE TRICKS WILL MAKE NOT ONLY GROW FAST BUT MAKE THEM FRIZZ FREE AND GIVE THEM A GLOSSY LOOK. 
 

INVERSION METHOD / FLIP METHOD:
Method:
  1. Take an oil of your preference. Use any of the oils from the list of natural hair growth oils. ( I prefer to use equal quantity of castor oil and coconut oil).
  2. Warm it up slightly. Make sure the temperature is just slightly warm.
  3. This is optional – if you love essential oils then add in few drops of essential oil like – peppermint oil or lavender oil.
  4. Massage this oil on your scalp with the help of your fingers, gently running it into the roots and hair for 5 mins.
  5. Once you are done with the scalp massage, tip your hair upside down gently and let it hang loosely, maintain a steady angle of inversion.
  6. The inversion can be done by sitting on a chair or on a couch. You may also stand at your kitchen sink lowering your head like you do while you wash your head. Maintain any of this position for only 4 minutes.
  7. After that let the oil sit on the hair for 2 hours or braid your hair and leave the oil on overnight for better results.
  8. Wash off the hair using a mild shampoo.
  9. Repeat everyday for only 7 consecutive days/one week. Wait at least 3 weeks between each attempt otherwise, your body gets used to the extra blood flow. Depending on your personal condition, you might find it helpful to perform this treatment every 3 weeks. The body will get used to the extra blood flow otherwise and the method will not work in your favor. It is not recommended for pregnant women
    .
IMPORTANT POINTS FOR THE INVERSION METHOD:
  • Do this method only for one week then take a rest for at least two weeks, don't do o a regular basis.
  • Its is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • If you get dizziness or headache due to it stop doing it.
  • It is better to take before pictures of your hair and then compare your hair after a week doing this method.
 
HOT OIL TREATMENT:
Massaging your scalp helps improve circulation and hence stimulates hair growth, and you only need to do it for about five minutes daily to see results. Just rub your fingers on your scalp in a circular motion, applying gentle pressure and kneading occasionally to open up the blood vessels and increase blood flow.
Massaging can also be combined with a hot oil treatment once or twice a week. Heat some coconut or olive oil in a microwave or a double-boiler. Heating it will help it penetrate the hair shaft easily and also reduce dandruff.
Put the hot oil on your hair and comb it through to ensure even distribution and reduce breakage during shampooing. Wear a plastic cap or wrap a warm towel around your head (use a hair dryer to heat the towel) and leave it on for at least half an hour before shampooing.
Another popular tip is to flip your hair upside down for two to four minutes daily.
 


CASTOR OIL:
Castor oil facilitates hair growth because it is rich in omega-9 fatty acids and vitamin E. The thick oil moisturizes your hair, adds volume, prevents frizzing, and also fights scalp infections.
  • It is best to mix castor oil with an equal amount of a base oil to get a better consistency and enhance the benefits. Rub it on your scalp and massage. Leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes. Finally, rinse it out and shampoo your hair. If it is difficult to remove, use a clarifying shampoo.
  • To make it more effective, mix four drops of rosemary essential oil in an ounce of castor oil and then use it on your hair and scalp.

    HAIR MASKS :
    The hair masks made of natural home ingredients not only grows your faster but also gives them shine. Here are some hair masks that can be used on any type of hair.

    • Egg mask:  Take an egg (or two depending on your hair length and heaviness) 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon yogurt 1 tablespoon castor oil or coconut oil or mustard oil, any of your choice but castor is preferred. mix everything in a bowl well. Apply the mixture to your hair going from scalp to tips of your hair , massage well into the scalp. Keep the mask for an hour or two then wash it off with the shampoo and conditioner as you normally do. Egg contains protein which is the main source of hair growth. Eating it also gives you smooth silky hair in the long run but applying it promotes hair growth and gives shine to them.
    • Henna mask: Take 2 tablespoon of henna (non colored just containing herbs) put it in bowl mix well with a fork first add, coconut oil 1 tablespoon , 1 whole egg , 1 teaspoon coffee. Mix all the ingredients well and apply to your hair from scalp to tips of hair massage well. Wash your hair after 2 hours using shampoo and conditioner. Henna is the age old material used to color the hair and also used as a hair pack since ages, made from many herbs and flowers it gives shines and lusture to your hair.
    • Coffee mask : Take 1 1/2 table spoon of coffee in a bowl and mix well with 3 tablespoon of milk add in 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil (preferred) or 1 tablespoon of coconut oil , mix everything well and apply the mask to your hair from scalp to tips. Leave for 1 hour and wash it off with shampoo and condition it as normal. Coffee contains antioxidants which are helpful in rejunvating the body cells, this it is good for both skin and hair.  


    •  Coconut milk mask: Take one cup of coconut milk add in juice of one lemon mix well and apply it to your scalp and tips of the hair . Leave it for an hour and then wash it off with shampoo and condition it .Use this mask of will make your hair much straighter and give your locks a glossy texture.
    IMPORTANT POINTS FOR HAIR MASKS:
    • Do not apply the mask more than twice in a week.
    • When applying the mask flip your hair for five minutes (if you can) and then start applying and massaging.
    • If any of the ingredients doesn't suits your scalp or skin, just wash it off with cold water , it rarely happens but if it does just wash it with cold water. 

    VITAMIN E CAPSULES:
    Vitamin E capsules are very good if your wanting to grow your hair fast or your hair has stopped growing or you are facing the problem of balding , these will beat all these problems but you have to take care of your eating habits and health care .
     


    TIPS TO REMEMBER:
    • Always take a protein rich diet. Eat healthy
    • Don't wash your hair daily. Wash your hair every third day or so.
    • Quit smoking as it is already damaging your health skin and hair, it causes hair loss and balding.
    • Oil your hair twice in a week.
    • Be happy and stress free. Smile more often.

    Sabut masoor dal kebab

    SABUT MASOOR DAL KEBABS


    INGREDIENTS FOR BOILING:
    • 25 gm Sabut /Black masoor dal
    • 1inch Grated ginger
    • 1 Onion chopped
    • 8 Cloves of garlic
    DRY GARAM MASALA TO GRIND:
    • 1 Black cardamom
    • 1 Green cardamom
    • 6 Black pepper
    • 4 Cloves
    • 1/2 inch Cinnamon/dalchini
    • 1/2 Teaspoon cumin
    • 1 Teaspoon chili powder
    • 1 Bay leaf
    INGREDIENTS FOR MIXING:
    • 2 Finally chopped onions
    • 2 Green chilies chopped
    • Some finally chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves
    METHOD:
    • Wash the dal and add all the ingredients for boiling in a pressure cooker with 1 1/2 cup of water.
    • After 4 whistles check the dal and whether the water has dried up.
    • Take out the dal and grind it in the grinder to a soft dough.
    • Mix the other ingredients to the dough and make small kebab.
    • Shallow fry on the on stick pan on both sides till crisp.
    • Serve hot with sliced onion and green chutney.
