Poha Recepie

POHA RECIPIE - A QUICK AND HEALTHY SNACK FOR YOUR BREAKFAST

INGREDIENTS:
  • BEATEN RICE /FLATTENED RICE-250 gms
  • 2 CHOPPED ONIONS
  • 2 POTATOES CUBED
  • GREEN PEAS- 50 gm
  •  PEANUTS- 50 gm
  • 1INCH FINELY CHOPPED GINGER
  • 2-3 FINELY CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES
  • FEW CURRY LEAVES
  • HALF A TEASPOON MUSTARD SEED
  • HALF A TEASPOON TUMERIC
  • 1 TEASPOON SUGAR
  • CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  • 1 LEMON SLICED
  • 3 TABLESPOON VEGITABLE OIL
  • SALT TO TASTE
METHOD:
  • Soak the beaten rice in water for 10 minutes and then drain.
  • Heat a cooking pan and add oil .
  • Add mustard seeds and let them crackle, add the curry leaves and onions together
  •  Sauté the onions for a while and add ginger.
  • Then add the potatoes, peas and peanuts with salt and cover the pan for a few minutes till the vegetables are done
  • Add turmeric and cook
  • Add the beaten rice or flattened rice and mix well with a light hand
  • Add sugar to it and cover it for 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Finally add coriander leaves and lemon slices for garnishing and serve hot.
